Our Mission
NwPACC exists to enhance the ability of labor and management, working as partners, to create the optimum environment for the economic successes of both. Cooperation takes more effort than confrontation.
The Council remains neutral in labor-management disputes. The board of directors maintains a one-for-one balance of labor and management representatives.
The Council earns its keep by administering cost-lowering solutions for everyday business problems. For example, one affiliate, the NwPACC Health Benefit Trust, is a health care cooperative operated jointly by labor and management representatives. The Trust does more than keep health care costs in check-- it reduces the effects of a complicated issue at the bargaining table and fosters mutual respect between management and labor.
NwPACC is not a proponent of labor or management. The Council is not affiliated with any political party or business or social institution. The Council's strength lies in its balance, and its effectiveness depends on its neutrality.
